Stained Glass Bears
My bears will soon be available as copperfoiled stained glass panels, very much in the style of the panel to your left. I will also be producing suncatchers which look great hanging down from the windows.( We used to have ours hanging up in our conservatory amongst all our plants). |
Stained Glass Painting.
I worked for several years as a glass engraver to Bristol Blue and Bath Aqua Glass where I worked on hundreds of commissions for many prestigious people: for example, a piece, which was presented to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,a plate engraved from the City Of Bath to the Mayor of New York and also hand blown goblets engraved to the British Gold Medal Winners at the Olympics. I also attended a course in Bath on Stained Glass. There I learnt how to produce stained glass, both leaded and copperfoiled.
My interests, lead me to glass painting, first with water based glass paints (the ones you find at most art and craft shops) and then to working with oxides and stains which are fused into the glass by using a kiln. The surface of the glass is melted and the stain fused into the glass, producing a permanent drawing which will never fade.
