Oscar in a sticky mess

From the kitchen, next door, came an almighty crash as cutlery tumbled to the floor.
"I know it’s in here somewhere?", raged Oscar, as he searched.
He was looking for the roll of tin foil, to create a ‘shiny egg’, one you could see your reflection in.

Eventually he found the foil at the back of the drawer, and started scrunching the foil up and gluing it to the paper.

Unfortunately glue and teddy bear fur don’t mix very well and poor Oscar finished up being shinier than the egg.

Nutmeg's tummy rumbled

The Grande Judging day arrived and all the bears gathered excitedly in the shop. A table was carefully laid out in the middle of the room. In the centre of the table, the most mouthwatering colourful cake anyone had ever seen. All the bears stood silently in amazement at the magnificent prize, Floyd's famous triple chocolate and cream cake. The smell from the chocolate, cherries and cream filled the room and made Nutmeg’s tummy rumble.

      Sherbet judges the pictures

All of the lovingly decorated eggs were hung on the wall. The bears waited in hushed silence as Sherbet carefully examined each one in turn.

Biscuit announces the winner

Sherbet scratched his head and wandered up and down the line of magnificent eggs. Everyone stood back, just in case.  Muttering and tail wagging went on for some time as Sherbet tried to come to his final decision.
After much scratching and wagging the decision was made. He whispered the winner to Biscuit who stood up onto a chair to announce the result. Biscuit coughed and looked down at all the bears.
"It was a difficult choice but our judge has picked a winner. You have all done very well indeed, and once again the standard is very high."
The bears stared at Biscuit wide eyed, waiting.
"And the winner is…..‘the brightest coloured egg‘, painted by Mistletoe and Wine."

The bears cheered as Mistletoe and Wine, blushing, went up to the table to get their prize. Wine hid behind Mistletoe, the bears shouted ’Speech’, Wine pushed Mistletoe forward to say a few words.
"Thank you… muttered the bear Eh…cake all round!"

  The winners

There was a lot of clapping, followed by the happy sound of munching as Floyd's famous triple chocolate and cream cake quickly disappeared before everyone’s eyes.
