The Charity Shop is at the centre of our story. Much that is strange, or at least a bit 'odd' starts here. The shop has a history that might explain why such things happen. To uncover this you need to know much more about Comfortable Place, and the people and bears who live and work here.
Biscuit pressed his nose against the shop window as the rain outside beat down with a steady hiss. The shop was empty and still and for biscuit, the day was beginning to drag. Gusts of wind turned the driving rain into the window with a rapid rat-tat-tat, but Biscuit just stared blankly through the distorted rain swept glass. A flash of lightning lit up the shop, and for a split second, everything was white. A rumbling thunder swiftly followed and the little shop shook like a teacup on a giant's table.
Above the shop door, of the Charity Shop, is a small coloured window. The window is very old and dark, except on sunny days and moonlit nights. The window is made of stained glass and if you look closely shows a strange scene of teddy bears in a wood with some other objects that are not alltogether clear. Where the glass came from is a mystery but it has a secret. The glass is very old, much older than the panel, and has been used over and over again.
As the lightning flashed the colours of the little window lit up the shop with a very special light.
Biscuit moved away from the window and blinked at the strange light. The other toys in the shop did the same. Sherbet, the shop dog, lifted his head from his warm blanket, twitched his nose at the ionised air and slumped back to the warmth of his blanket

An almighty crash shook the glass in the shop window as a torent of rainwater gushed from the ceiling. The calm quiet shop was about to become a hive of activity
